Important Message

NJASFAA believes it is important to affirm both our mission and diversity statements. Our overarching mission of assisting students and families to obtain access to higher education goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to embrace and celebrate diversity and inclusion. We do so with a firm dedication that actively uplifts members, students and families from all backgrounds while equally condemning racism, bias activity, inequality and any actions that might stand to test our position as a service organization. We look forward to further strengthening and expanding our partnership with you - our valued membership, colleagues and friends.

A Note from Your President, Nicholas Capodice:

Welcome to NJASFAA,

I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as President of an organization that has proven to be so vital to my own professional growth and so essential to the success of the amazing students across the State of New Jersey. NJASFAA consists of a talented, diverse group of professionals at a similarly diverse set of schools, who are tasked with assisting students navigate the complex and often overwhelming financial aid process and ensuring that they are able to access every available resource in order to achieve their educational goals.

NJASFAA represents public, independent and proprietary schools. We collaborate with federal and state agencies, as well as with educational providers to deliver tools, training, professional development and networking to our members.

As we continue to slowly inch back to "normal" operations in a post-pandemic world, we are excited to hold more in-person events, training sessions, and meetings during the upcoming year. In November, we are excited to host our first, in-person, 3-day NJASFAA conference since 2019. We hope to see you all there!

We encourage all members to get involved in NJASFAA and use the resources that the Association offers. Visit this page often. "Like" our Facebook page. Join us on Linkedin. Become familiar with our mission. Meet colleagues & socialize with colleagues who are always willing to lend a helping hand. Register for training. Earn a NASFAA credential. Access educational materials. And last but certainly not least, volunteer to become an active participant by joining a committee.

To my fellow Executive Council members and to those who volunteer their time to this organization, I am grateful that you are putting your faith in me for the 2022-2023 year, and I thank you in advance for the support I know you will continue to provide. To those interested in getting more involved, I encourage you to reach out. We are always looking for volunteers, and getting involved with NJASFAA has been one of the best decisions of my professional career. To all members, I assure you that we will continue to work towards making this year a great one and I look forward to all we will accomplish together. Thank you for all of the hard work you do every day for our students.

Sincerely,
Nicholas Capodice
NJASFAA President
