The Training and Professional Development Committee is pleased to offer several training opportunities this Spring.

The annual Support Staff Training will be held on Friday, March 21, 2003 at Rutger's Livingston Campus. There is no fee/membership requirement for any institution's support staff to attend. Registration/Continental Breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. The morning session, which will include Federal, State and Loan updates, will begin at 9 a.m. Following lunch, the afternoon workshop, "The Four Colors Within Teams", given by Bil Leopold, will focus on customer service. Registration for the Support Staff training is available on the NJASFAA Website.

Verification Training, or "Everything you wanted to know about a Tax Return, but were afraid to ask" is scheduled for April 30, 2003 at Raritan Valley Community College. Dave Sheridan, Stevens Institute of Technology, will be handling the Federal aspects and NJHESAA's Gloria T. Green will be detailing the State requirements. Registration information will be available on the NJASFAA Website shortly.

Recent IFAP announcements have included EDExpress Application Processing training for 2003-04, Student Eligibility Basics and Delivery System 2003-2004. The New York Regional Training Facility is the site of EDExpress Application Processing training on March 11, 2003.

The Philadelphia Regional Training Facility will host the following:
EDExpress Application Processing March 4, 2003
Student Eligibility Basics March 5, 2003
Delivery System 2003-2004 March 6, 2003

EASFAA will be providing the 2003 NASFAA Spring Training here in New Jersey on April 11, 2003 at Raritan Valley Community College - College Center in the Atrium.

Who should attend?
The modules are designed for new and experienced financial aid professionals with administrative or other responsibilities for the school's administration of the above programs.
