NJASFAA Scholarship Raised to $2,000 Submitted by Gloria T. Green, Chair, Scholarship Committee Unlike all other economic indicators, the NJASFAA Scholarship has not experienced an economic downturn. On the contrary, the Scholarship Program has experienced a significant boom. Thanks to the generosity of NELNET and the continued support of NJASFAA, each 2002-2003 NJASFAA Scholarship has doubled since last year. The award this year will be $2000 for each recipient. That's right - $2000 in each sector, for a total of $12,000! The Committee has mailed a Scholarship Packet to every member institution and has posted the material to the NJASFAA web site. If your Director has not passed the material on to you, you may go to njasfaa.org and obtain everything you need. Given the size of the award this year, the Committee anticipates a large number of applicants and looks forward to a full day of deliberations. Please do your part and submit the maximum number of applicants from your institution. We look forward to announcing the six scholarship recipients at the Spring Conference. See you on April 3rd!
