Remember back when you first started in a new position or new job. The appreciation of having someone to reach out to for support. Yes, I'm sure there was 'on-site training' to help you get acclimated, but having a resource to simply lend an ear and assist you through things was important and useful. In our NJASFAA community there are several new members (and potential members) that need our support, whether it be advise, technical support and simply lend an ear. You have a chance to provide that ear, provide that helpful guidance on occasion, simply be there for someone to chat as someone may have been for you. If you wish to become a NJASFAA Mentor to someone in our community please notify me at vince.davis@stufund.com Currently I have approximately 30 recent Novice Training participants that could use an outlet of support and I'd like to partner them with people out there such as yourself. In addition, the Mentor Committee will attempt to provide some events either during the annual conferences or training events throughout the year.
